Los Angeles, June 21 (IANS) Ramsay Bolton met his demise in Game of Thrones, and actor Iwan Rheon is not mourning the demise of his character. He feels Ramsay deserved exactly what he got and says that it was the right thing to do.
Inspired by novelist George R.R. Martin's bestselling series, the HBO series narrates a gripping story of seven kingdoms and royals vying for the Iron throne. It weaves together various emotions -- from love, politics, revenge, hatred and value of family -- into a bloody tale which has caught the fancy of several people across the globe.
Ramsay made his way through three seasons of the hit TV show by terrorising and murdering other characters.
In a dramatic finale to "Battle of the Bastards, Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington) was ultimately victorious (after getting help from sister Sansa (played by Sophie Turner) and Littlefinger (played by Aidan Gillen), punching Ramsay in the face until he was almost dead.
He was then fed to his own hounds by none other than Sansa Stark.
Its right. Im glad it happens as a fan of the show. Jon Snow needs to win because otherwise theres no hope left in the world. But it is interesting that it isnt fair. And afterward, Ramsay still thinks hes won. Hes so arrogant and self assured he thinks hell still be fine - until the last minute. He always thinks hes going to be okay, ew.com quoted Rheon as saying.
He shares that he had received half the scripts, five episodes, then I got the call. They joked, 'Isnt it great Ramsay ends up on the Iron Throne?' As soon as they said that I said, 'Hes dead isnt he?' Its cool. Ive had four lovely seasons here".
Rheon added: Its been great to be involved with such an amazing show. I think its kind of right he goes down. Because what else is he going to do after this? Hes done so many things. Its justified and its the right thing to do. Its the right path. Hes reached his peak. Its nice for the audience that he goes out on this high, if you will.
The current sixth season of the series is aired on Star World Premiere HD in India.
