Hainan, Telangana sign MoU for sister-province relationship

Hyderabad, June 20 (IANS) China's Hainan province on Monday signed an MoU with Telangana for establishment of sister-province relationship.

The agreement was signed by the Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Arvind Kumar on behalf of Telangana and Liu Cigui, Governor of Hainan province in the presence of state Industries and Municipal Administration Minister K.T. Rama Rao.

 

The two sides will make concerted efforts on the basis of equality and mutual benefits, to promote people to people friendly contacts and economic and trade ties and actively carry out exchanges and cooperation in the fields of IT industry, manufacturing and others, said a Telangana government statement.

The siste -province relationship is for the purpose of further enhancing and developing friendship and cooperation between the two sides and promoting mutual understanding between the peoples of India and China through friendly consultations, it added.

Another agreement was signed between Hainan and T-Hub, the largest technology incubator set up here, to encourage start-ups.
