New Delhi, June 18 (IANS) It was a warm and humid Saturday in Delhi as the maximum temperature settled at 39.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average, the weather office said predicting light rain on Sunday evening.
"It will be a partly cloudy sky on Sunday. Light rains/thunderstorm is likely to occur in some areas towards the evening/night on Sunday, said an official of the India Meteorological Department(IMD).
According to the weather office, the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 38 and 30 degrees Celsius respectively on Sunday.
Minimum temperature of Saturday was recorded at 30.1 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average. Humidity level ranged between 45 and 72 per cent, the Met office said.
Friday's maximum temperature was recorded at 39.5 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season while the minimum temperature settled at 25.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average.
