Berlin, June 18 (IANS) Germany chief coach Joachim Loew on Saturday confirmed that defender Jerome Boateng will play the last match of the Euro football championship group stage against Northern Ireland on Tuesday after doubts about the player's participation due to hip injury.
Loew described Boateng's hip injury as mild, adding that the Bayern Munich defender is "fully ready for Tuesday's clash", reports Efe.
The coach added that he may make some changes in the plan against Northern Ireland after Germany's 0-0 draw against Poland in the second round of the group stage.
Loew said in a press conference that his squad took a day off on Saturday.
