London, June 18 (IANS) British Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn on Friday said parliament would be recalled next Monday to pay tribute to Labour MP Jo Cox.
Cox died after she was shot and stabbed in Birstall, West Yorkshire on Thursday. She was attacked by a 52-year-old man who was arrested shortly afterwards, Xinhua news agency reported.
Corbyn said he had asked for parliament to be recalled to enable politicians to pay tribute to Cox. He described her killing as an "act of hatred" and an "attack on democracy".
