New Delhi, June 16 (IANS) It was a pleasant Thursday morning in Delhi with partly cloudy sky here with the minimum temperature recorded at 28.0 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season's average, the weather office said.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) also predicted rain towards the afternoon in some parts of Delhi, however this may not provide relief from the humidity that is expected to oscillate around 70 per cent.
"The sky will remain partly cloudy on Thursday. Light rains or thunderstorm are likely to occur towards morning or 4.00 p.m.," said an IMD official .
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 39 degrees Celsius, the official said.
According to the weather office, the humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 72 per cent. The visibility remained around 3,000 meters.
Wednesday's maximum temperature settled at 38.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 30.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
