Lens (France), June 15 (IANS) Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey says it is about time for his side to beat England, whom they meet in a Euro football championship fixture here on Thursday.
Wales are aiming for their first victory over their neighbours since 1984. This, however, is a crucial tie for both sides as they are looking to make it to the final 16.
"Hopefully we can do that (beat England)," Ramsey was quoted as saying by goal.com on Wednesday.
"It has been a long time since we beat them. It's about time we changed that and hopefully we can do it."
"You can see it in all sports, in rugby and things like that, there is always an extra edge with England. We are no different, we are really looking forward to it and getting something out of the game," Ramsey said.
Even though Wales beat Slovakia 2-1 in their tournament opener, there were a few nervy moments for Ramseys side but he believes the outfit will get better with each passing game.
"I believe we can grow into the tournament. Hopefully we can continue improving. The Slovakia result puts us in a good position and we will have even more belief now," he said.
