New Delhi, June 15 (IANS) The national capital on Monday experienced a humid day on Wednesday while the maximum temperature settled at 38.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average. The Met office has forecast light rain on Thursday
The weather department also said there were traces of rain at northeastern parts of the city, but this did not provide relief to the Delhi residents from the humidity that oscillated between 48 to 73 per cent.
"There would be partly cloudy sky on Thursday with rain and thundershowers likely to occur towards evening/night," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 39 and 30 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The minimum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 30.5 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
Tuesday's maximum temperature settled at 36.3 degrees Celsius, three notches below the average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degree Celsius, a notch below the average.
