Kolkata, June 15 (IANS) The Tea Board of India has once again invited fresh bids for taking over management of Demdima, Lankapara, Huntapara and Tulsipara tea estates located in northern West Bengal, according to a notice on its website.
While three of the estates are operated by the G.P. Goenka-controlled Duncan Industries, Demdima tea estate is operated by th group's associate Santipara Tea Company.
In early February, the board had invited the bids for taking over the management of Demdima. Subsequently, it further sought bidders' interest in April after not finding eligible bidders.
The board had issued a notification inviting expression of interest (EoI) for taking over the management of six tea estates including Lankapara, Tulsipara, Huntapara in March but later it revised the eligibility criteria for these estates.
