Chennai, June 13 (IANS) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday to discuss important issues relating to the state.
This will be Jayalalithaa's first visit to New Delhi after winning the May 16 assembly elections and becoming the chief minister for a second consecutive term.
Jayalalithaa will return here on Tuesday evening, a government statement said earlier.
As in the past, Jayalalithaa is expected to present a memorandum to the prime minister seeking action by the central government on long pending issues like setting up of the Cauvery Management Board, release of funds for infrastructure projects and flood relief.
During her earlier regime too Jayalalithaa had presented a memorandum to Modi.
