New Delhi, June 11 (IANS) It was a cloudy Saturday morning here followed by light rains with gusts of dust-laden wind on Friday night.
Rains brought respite from the scorching heat as the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.4 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average.
According to the weather office, the city has received 1.6 mm rainfall in last 24 hours.
"The sky will remain partly cloudy and light rains and thunderstorm are likely to occur towards the evening and night," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 37 degrees Celsius, the weather office said.
According to the official, the humidity at 8.30 a.m was 68 per cent.
Friday's maximum temperature settled at 41.9 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, while the minimum was recorded at 28.4 degrees Celsius, normal for the season's average.
