Mumbai, June 10 (IANS) Choreographer Terence Lewis, who is seen as a judge on “So You Think You Can Dance 'Ab India ki Baari'”, paid tribute to late actor Amrish Puri on the singing reality show by dressing up in the late actor's Mogambo avatar.

As it was a costume special episode, the jury, hosts and contestants on the show were given a challenge to don the look of their favourite character.

Lewis, who is seen on the judging panel alongside Bollywood's dancing diva Madhuri Dixit-Nene and choreographer Bosco Martis, chose to portray his all-time favourite villain Mogambo.

“I am very happy as I got the opportunity to portray my favourite character and pay tribute to one of the legendary actors of Bollywood, Amrish Puri. For this challenge I preferred to play an Indian character so that I can connect with the audience easily,” Lewis said in a statement.

“It was a difficult task as we had to choose and prepare for the character in one night. I hope the audience will like my effort put in the challenge,” he added.

The show, which is an Indian version of the internationally acclaimed reality format "So You Think You Can Dance", is aired on &TV.

Raghav Juyal shoots despite ill health

Dancer Raghav Juyal, who will return as the host of the upcoming second season of “Dance+”, shot for an episode of the dance reality show despite ill health.

“On the first day of the show, Raghav had fever. Due to a hectic schedule, his health condition worsened and he had to get admitted (to a hospital) later in the night,” said a source from the set.

“We weren’t expecting him to be there for the next day of shoot, but he surprised all of us on the next day of shoot, by coming on time and taking the stage again,” the source added.

Talking about the incident, Raghav said in a statement: “I had slight fever before the shoot started and it just aggravated towards the end of the day. I had to immediately rush to the hospital later in the night. I took the necessary medication and was on sets the next day on time.

“'Dance+' is a show very close to my heart. Both my forte -- hosting and dancing -- are related with this show. Also, the talent we are witnessing on stage for this season is beyond phenomenal and unique in their own way.

"I couldn’t afford to miss out on watching them live. I hate taking injections but I took one this time as I didn’t want the shoot to halt because of me.”

“Dance+ Season 2” will feature Punit Pathak, Dharmesh Yelande and Shakti Mohan as mentors.

Ace choreographer-filmmaker Remo D'Souza will be seen as Super Judge on the show, which will be aired on Star Plus.
