Kolkata, June 9 (IANS) St. Xavier's College authorities here will be submitting a letter of intent to the West Bengal government in a month's time and also hand over a draft bill for setting up an university, its principal said here on Thursday.
"We are contemplating submitting a letter of intent to the Bengal government in a month's time and will also hand-in the draft bill to the state government," college principal Father Felix Raj told the media. St. Xavier's is an autonomous college.
Raj said the college authorities hope the university would be set up on public-private partnership (PPP) basis with the state government's support.

For students from SAARC countries who wish to enroll at the college, the fees would be the same as those for Indian students, he said.
