Hot Thursday in Delhi, rain likely on Friday

New June 9 (IANS) The national capital suffered another hot day on Thursday with the maximum temperature settling at 41.1 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.

The Met Office has forecast rain on Friday.

"There would be partly cloudy sky with the possibility of rain, thunderstorm and dust storm on Friday," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 40 and 28 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 30.4 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average, said the weather office, adding the humidity oscillated between 68 and 42 per cent.

Wednesday's maximum and minimum temperatures settled at 41.2 and 28.6 degrees Celsius, each one notch above the season's average, respectively.
