Shimla, June 8 (IANS) Temperatures across Himachal Pradesh fell on Wednesday due to widespread rain, with Arki town recording the highest 39 mm in the state, the Met Office said. More rains are expected, it added.
"The rainfall was recorded at most of the places. It lowered the maximum and minimum temperatures by one to two notches in the past 24 hours," an official of the local meteorological office told IANS.
According to the weather office, current spell of rains will continue in the state till June 13.
Shimla, Kasauli and Kufri towns recorded 8.9 mm, 19 mm and 10 mm of rainfall.
The state capital Shimla recorded the maximum temperature of 26.1 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was 15.7 degrees.
Dharamsala recorded 30.8 degrees Celsius, while it was 23.6 degrees in Kalpa and 33.2 degrees in Una.
