Washington, June 9 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for Mexico for the fifth and final leg of his five-nation tour after wrapping up his visit to the US.
"After two days of a fruitful USA visit, PM @narendramodi emplanes for Mexico," the PMO tweeted on Thursday.
"Thank you again America! A successful visit ends as PM @narendramodi takes the long way home, via Mexico City," Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted.
Modi arrived in the US on Monday from Switzerland on his second bilateral visit after his visit in September 2014.
He and US President Barack Obama held bilateral talks following which a number of agreements signed, including one on US firm Westinghouse building six nuclear power plants in India.
Besdies, he also met Indian and US business leaders and addressed a joint sitting of the US Congress.
