Rome, June 8 (IANS) Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini said on Wednesday that Argentine midfielder Ever Banega, who will sign his contract with the Italian football club in the coming days, has "qualities" that are missing in the team.
"Banega has qualities that we were short of. It was an opportunity on the market," Efe quoted Mancini as saying in an interview with Radio Deejay.
Speaking about Euro 2016 which starts in France on Friday, the Italian coach was optimistic about Italy's chances, but noted that Spain is a favorite.
When asked about the acquisition of 69.5 per cent of Inter by a group of Chinese investors, the Italian coach admitted he only learned the news "a few days ago" and that no one had warned him before then.
"People have been asking me about my future for weeks. I don't know anything about the club, I'll speak when things are clearer," Mancini said.
