Berlin, June 7 (IANS) Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on Tuesday ruled out the possibility of selling Polish forward Robert Lewandowski or Austrian midfielder David Alaba to any other football club and stressed that "we closed the door on them".
In an interview with German magazine Sport Bild, Rummenigge said: "No player will leave Bayern Munich unless we want him to leave," in response to rumours linking Lewandowski and Alaba to a Real Madrid move, according to Efe.
The Bavarian giants CEO highlighted the good relations between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, as well as their rivals Barcelona.
"But it has been common knowledge in Europe since 2008 when Franck Ribery was linked with a transfer, that we will not sell anyone against our own wishes," Rummenigge added.
Back then, Real Madrid wanted to sign Ribery and actually reached an agreement with the Frenchman, but Bayern didn't not let him go.
