Demi Lovato, Wilmer Valderrama call it quits

Los Angeles, June 4 (IANS) After Taylor Swift-Calvin Harris and Zayn Malik-Gigi Hadid, singer Demi Lovato and actor Wilmer Valderrama have also called it quits.

The former couple announced their split in a joint statement on Friday, saying that they had decided to break up "after almost six loving and wonderful years together", reports aceshowbiz.com.

In the statement posted on Instagram, Lovato and Valderrama said that it was a "difficult decision" for both of them, but they realised that they are "better as best friends".

"We will always be supportive of one another. Thank you to everyone who has offered us kindness and support over the years," they wrote.

No other details regarding their split have emerged. The two, who celebrated their six-year anniversary earlier in January this year, were last seen together at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on May 22.
