Kolkata, June 1 (IANS) Student union elections in colleges in West Bengal will not be held until the admission procedure for the present session is completed, Education Minister Partha Chatterjee said here on Wednesday.
"We are also maintaining a strict vigil over the admission procedure so that students do not have to face any inconvenience," he said.
Elections to the student bodies were scheduled to be conducted in January-February but due to examinations and the assembly polls, they were postponed.
