New Delhi, May 30 (IANS) National passenger carrier Air India on Monday said that from June 2 it will increase flight frequencies on its Delhi-Surat-Delhi route.
According to the airline, the move will allow it to serve the sector daily from the present five days a week operation.
"The flight that operated five days a week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday will also operate on Thursday and Sunday starting June 2," the airline said in a statement.
The airline said that it will operate the service on an ATR aircraft on this route on Thursday and Sunday.
Presently, the airline operates a CRJ-700 aircraft on the route five times a week.
"Delhi-Surat-Delhi Air India flight is highly popular among textile and diamond businessmen and provides seamless connectivity between two business cities," the statement added.
"It also offers convenient connections to other international flights from/to Delhi."
