Los Angeles, May 30 (IANS) Actress Emilia Clarke says she needed vodka and some flattering lighting to film nude scenes in the popular TV series Game of Thrones.
The 29-year-old, who stars as Daenerys Targaryen in the show, says she needed a little help and encouragement before she agreed to strip off for Game of Thrones, reports dailymail.co.uk.
All I needed was vodka and some flattering lighting and I was ready, Clarke told The Sun newspaper.
Clarke, who had previously signed a no-nudity clause, said she found one particular nude scene to be "empowering", when her on-screen character Daenerys walked through an inferno to emerge naked.
It was just a wonderful, strong moment I wanted to own, a real empowering, girl-power wow scene.
I was so thrilled with it. It's not a sexy scene, she's not naked for no reason, it's not gratuitous. She's naked because she's just destroyed her enemies in this almighty blaze after they underestimated her, she said.
