Haridwar, May 27 (IANS) The All World Gayatri Pariwar is organizing a week-long programme across more than 25,000 places in the country to spread awareness among the youth about the ill effects of tobacco and its related products.
Tobacco and its products are playing havoc with the health and productivity of the youth of the nation and the International Day against Tobacco on May 31 is an appropriate occasion to highlight the programme of Gayatri Pariwar against harmful addiction and evil social practices, said a press statement.
K.P. Dubey, in charge of seven movements of Gayatri Pariwar, Shantikunj, said that more than 25,000 units of Gayatri Pariwar across the country will hold various programmes to highlight the danger of tobacco and fight against it.
Discussions, debates, short films, processions, pledges and other effective means will be undertaken to put across the message against tobacco.
