Rio de Janeiro, May 23 (IANS) Midfielder Eduardo Sasha scored either side of halftime to fire 10-man Internacional to a 2-1 away victory over Sao Paulo in Brazil's Serie A football championship.
The 24-year-old opened the scoring in the 37th minute, but the visitors were reduced to 10 men when Alex Meschini was shown a red card for a bad foul on Sunday, reports Xinhua.
Former Uruguay captain Diego Lugano headed in an equaliser before Sasha's 89th-minute strike regained the lead for Sao Paulo.
The result at the Morumbi stadium lifted Internacional to sixth in the 20-team standings while Sao Paulo dropped to ninth.
