Kochi, May 23 (IANS) Leading Australian healthcare education provider Health Careers on Monday announced it has partnered with India's Hello Health Services Pvt. Ltd. to train people in rural areas of the country in the field of healthcare, to give a fillip to the Skill India initiative.
Health Careers CEO and MD Bijo Kunnumpurath noted that high quality education and training will be vital to improving the skills and capability of healthcare workers in India.
"This partnership is of great importance to India, and Health Careers is proud to be working with Hello Health to train their future healthcare workforce," said Kunnumpurath.
The partnership will enable both companies to scale up their operations toward achieving the vision of Skill India, to make India the skill capital of the world, a statement said.
Hello Health CEO Suvanjay Sharma said the adoption of new technologies to redefine the provision of primary medical care in India will require a highly skilled workforce.
"We are looking toward to the vision of Skill India, which is to make India a global human resource sourcing hub for healthcare and we are pleased to be partnering with an organisation like Health Careers that will bring international standards to training in rural India," said Sharma.
The partnership aims at raising the level of skills and capability of healthcare staff in the country, especially from the 17 rural centres that this new tie-up will establish in the current fiscal.
Health Careers had recently opened its first centre in Kochi, while Hello Health, headquartered in Mumbai, has presence in other cities including Bengaluru, Delhi and Lucknow.
