New Delhi, May 20 (IANS) It was a warm Friday morning with the minimum temperature recorded at 31.2 degrees Celsius, which was five notches above from season's average, the weather office said.
The day ahead is expected to get warmer.
"The sky will mainly remain clear becoming partly cloudy. Dust storm and haze are likely to occur towards the evening," said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official.
The IMD officials cautioned against the heat waves in the national capital, expecting the maximum temperature to hover around 43 degree Celsius.
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 62 percent.
The maximum temperature on Thursday settled at 42.8 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average. While, minimum was 28.6 degrees, two notches above the season's average.
