Kolkata, May 19 (IANS) The Trinamool Congress will celebrate its sweeping victory in the West Bengal assembly polls through a series of cultural events spanning 10 days beginning Friday, said Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
"There will be cultural functions across all districts from May 20 to May 30," Banerjee announced after trends showed her party set to attain a brute majority.
Celebrations had already begun outside the Trinamool supremo's residence in south Kolkata's Harish Chatterjee street. Conch shells, dhaaks (drums) and cymbals were rigorously put to use to mark the party's stellar performance.
