New Delhi, May 19 (IANS) Actress Swara Bhaskar, who is currently riding high on the success of her first solo hit "Nil Battey Sannata", says the "typical boundaries" between commercial and content-driven films are fading away.
Asked if she prefers commercial or content-driven cinema more, Swara told IANS: "I think that any actor would prefer roles and work that gives them a chance to perform. I also feel the typical boundaries between commercial and content high cinema are dissolving".
The "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo" actress added that films like "Piku", "Queen", "NH10", "Mardaani", "Neerja" and "Nil Battey Sannata" are all "content-high films" that have worked at the box office.
"I think I have been lucky that even in my commercial films I've got the chance to play performance-heavy parts. After all, Bindiya from 'Raanjhanaa' is remembered as a great role because it provided the opportunity for a certain kind of performance that was memorable," Swara said.
Swara will next be seen on screen in the upcoming film "Anaarkali Aaraahwaali".
