Saumya Tandon at Cannes!

Mumbai, May 17 (IANS) Actress Saumya Tandon has taken a break from the shooting of the popular TV show "Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!", to attend the ongoing 69th Cannes Film Festival.

"Saumya had applied for this leave from the show well in advance to plan her trip. She has shot for all her scenes and packed off last night to travel to Cannes," said a source from the production house.

"Apart from acting, she is also an entrepreneur with a venture titled 108mb. She considers herself as a fan of all kinds of cinema, hence feels Cannes is an apt festival to connect with film fraternity across the world," the source added.

Saumya will, however, not be seen on the red carpet of the movie gala.

Popular Bollywood celebrities like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sonam Kapoor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Anurag Kashyap have already made India proud at Cannes.

"Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!", which is aired on &TV, also stars Aashif Sheikh, Rohitash Gaud and Shubhangi Atre.

My parents never asked me anything: Aniruddh Dave

Actor Aniruddh Dave, best known for his roles in shows like "Ruk Jana Nahi", "Yeh Hai Aashiqui" and "Suryaputra Karn", feels lucky to have had his parents' support all through.

Aniruddh, who hails from Jaipur, got a chance to visit his hometown and his school where his mother Rajul Dave retired as a teacher of Sanskrit and cultural activities.

"I felt emotional seeing the love and respect being bestowed on my mother by the school. She has always been encouraging and supportive whenever I felt low," Aniruddh said in a statement.

"I feel grateful that she had that trust in me and sent me to Mumbai to pursue acting. My parents have never asked anything from me and so obeying them is my duty. No matter how much they rebuke you, there is love and concern in that. Parents are everything," added the dutiful son.

Family dinner for 'Bahu Humari Rajni_kant' cast!

The cast of popular TV show "Bahu Humari Rajni_kant", including actors Ridhima Pandit and Karan V Grover, went out for a dinner on the occasion of International Day of Families.

To celebrate the occasion on Sunday, the actors decided to have dinner together.

"The whole cast of the show is so amazing and humble, that all share a brilliant chemistry. The relationship between everyone is so unbelievable, and it results in lots of fun," Ridhima said in a statement.

"It’s very difficult for an artiste to feel like home at work, but I believe I am lucky enough to be part of such a miraculous show,” she added.

Pallavi Pradhan, who is seen as Ridhima's mother-in-law in the Life OK show, said: “Being in this industry for a long time, I feel this show is the favourite thing ever happened in my life. The whole cast and crew is astonishing.

“We always need a reason to celebrate. I am just blessed to be part of the show”.
