Raipur, May 16 (IANS) Justice Deepak Gupta was on Monday sworn-in as the new chief justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court.
Governor Balramji Das Tandon administered the oath of Justice Gupta, who was earlier chief justice of the Tripura High Court, at a function at the Raj Bhavan.
Chief Minister Raman Singh, assembly Speaker Gaurishankar Agarwal, ministers, judges and senior officials were present.
The Chhattisgarh High Court is based in the state's Bilaspur city.
