Chennai, May 15 (IANS) A few hours before polling in the Tamil Nadu assembly elections begins, the Election Commission on Sunday ordered the postponement of voting in Thanjavur constituency to May 23.
The commission issued the orders after the seizure of cash and complaints about the distribution of money to voters, said officials.
According to the poll panel, polling in Thanjavur will be held on May 23 and counting of votes will be on May 25.
On Saturday, the Election Commission postponed polling in Aravakurichi constituency in Karur district to May 23 on similar grounds.
