Negative roles don’t come naturally to me: Shaheer Sheikh

New Delhi, May 15 (IANS) Actor Shaheer Sheikh believes that his face is not suitable for playing negative characters. He says such roles don't come naturally to him.

“Negative roles don't come naturally to me. I have tried to do it. I once auditioned for a negative character. They just said that I don't look that bad. My face doesn't suit that. But I would love to play (a negative role) if given a chance, as I like to experiment,” Shaheer told IANS.

Shaheer, who rose to fame through his portrayal of Arjun in “Mahabharat” aired on Star Plus, feels doing a mythological show is “tougher” than doing daily soaps.

“I feel daily soap is the most difficult form of acting and mythological is tougher than that. Arjun was the most difficult character that I have played,” he said.

“It's really challenging doing a mythological show. Challenging... not in terms of costumes, but in terms of language and the way in which you have to maintain that aura of the character,” he added.

Asked whether he would like to do a reality show, Shaheer, who hosted a few Indonesian TV shows including "Asia's Got Talent", said: “I'm not that kind of a person who would love to live with 15 to 20 people in a strange house. I was offered a few other shows too when I was in Indonesia, but because of time constraint, I couldn't do it. Maybe, I would like to do some dance-based show in the future”.

Shaheer is currently seen in “Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi”, which is being aired on Sony Entertainment Television.
