Tokyo, May 13 (IANS) The US dollar changed hands in the lower 109 yen zone in early trade on Friday morning in Tokyo, marginally higher than levels seen overnight in New York.
At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 109.13-14 yen compared with 108.95-109.05 yen in New York and 108.92-94 yen at 5 p.m. in Tokyo on Thursday, Xinhua reported.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched $1.1373-1374 and 124.11-12 yen against $1.1373-1383 and 123.97-124.07 yen in New York and $1.1407-1408 and 124.25-29 yen late on Thursday afternoon in Tokyo.
