In a recent interview with a leading online portal, actor Sudheer Babu has shared his views on the disadvantages he faces coming from a filmy family. He said,Initially people used to tell me that you have an open road where you can walk in and just make films, but it wasn't like that for me. I worked my way into films and I have been recognised as a very good actor. There is a myth saying in case you are from an established acting family, people are ready to accept you, but it's not like that. Actually, you have a disadvantage when you are coming from such a background.
The audiences perspective right now is like, oh one more guy coming from the family? We have to see this guy. So it is not starting at ground level but at a minus. So only after you prove yourself as an actor will people accept you. So, I had to do good films and prove myself to gain acceptance as an actor.
