Modi government must apologize on Uttarakhand: Kejriwal

New Delhi, May 11 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday slammed the central government for acting "unconstituionally in Uttarakhand" and demanded its apology.

The Narendra Modi government "should apologise to the nation for acting in an unconstitutional and undemocratic manner in Uttarakhand," the Aam Aadmi Party leader tweeted.

Kejriwal's remarks came after the central government told the Supreme Court that the Harish Rawat-led Congress government had majority in the Uttarakhand assembly and President's Rule would be revoked from the state.

On Tuesday, after the Congress won the floor test in the Uttarakhand assembly, Kejriwal called it "a huge setback to the Modi government. Hope they will stop toppling governments now".
