Los Angeles, May 11 (IANS) New inmates, new rules and more tension -- the trailer for the fourth season of American comedy-drama series "Orange Is the New Black" promises yet another roller-coaster ride for viewers.
All 13 episodes of season four will launch on June 17 on Netflix, read a statement.
Based on the best-selling memoir by Piper Kerman and created by Jenji Kohan, the newest season delves into the racial and economic tensions that run rampant in the halls of Litchfield Penitentiary, a minimum-security women's federal prison.
Overrun with new inmates and overseen by inexperienced guards, the prison undergoes an unprecedented culture war.
Earlier this year, Netflix had renewed "Orange Is the New Black" for three additional seasons.
The series stars Taylor Schilling, Uzo Aduba, Kate Mulgrew, Laura Prepon, Laverne Cox, Dascha Polanco, Danielle Brooks, Selenis Leyva, Samira Wiley, Taryn Manning, Yael Stone, Jackie Cruz, Lea DeLaria, Adrienne C. Moore and Elizabeth Rodriguez, along with Michael Harney and Nick Sandow.
Since premiering in 2013, the show has received critical acclaim as well as numerous awards nominations and wins, including four Emmy Award wins.
