Kochi, May 10 (IANS) A Switzerland-based company on Tuesday launched Envoy, a combination of professional and social networking platform, in India.
Envoy, a first of its kind in the digital world, was developed with the support of Kochi's Infopark-based MSI (Media Systems India Soft Solutions).
Though the existing networking platforms helped people to stay connected and widen their network of contacts, there are no tools in such platforms to help users to create value from their contacts and that is available in Envoy, said Ralph Schonenbach, chief executive officer of Envoy AG.
"The first generation networking platforms taught us on the importance of staying connected in a fast-paced world, but we are being inundated with information from such sites and it is exhausting for most of us," he said.
"Envoy is designed to address all such issues. Majority of the services are free and advanced features are available only to paid users. As it is first of kind in the market, India holds huge potential for our product," added Schonenbach.
