New Delhi, May 9 (IANS) It was a hot Monday morning in Delhi with the minimum temperature recorded at 27.6 degree celsius, three notches above the season's average.
Met has forecast a partly cloudy day with chances of light rain in the city.
The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 40 degree celsius.
"It was a hot morning today (Monday). However the sky is likely to turn partly cloudy during the day," said an official of the India Meteorological Department(IMD).
Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 55 percent.
The maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 39.8 degree celsius while the minimum temperature settled at 25.3 degree celsius, both a notch above the season's average.
