New Delhi, May 8 (IANS) The national capital experienced a hot day on Sunday with the maximum temperature settling at 39.8 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average. The Met office forecast a partly cloudy sky with with a dust storm or thunderstorm likely on Monday.
"There would be partly cloudy sky on Monday while thunderstorm and duststorm is likely to occur in some areas," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 40 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Sunday's minimum temperature recorded at 25.3 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average while the humidity ranged between 31 and 68 percent, the IMD official said.
Saturday's maximum temperature settled at 38.1 degrees Celsius, a degree below the season's average while the minimum temperature was recorded at 25 degrees Celsius or average for the season.
