Spanish unemployment falls lowest since 2010

Madrid, May 4 (IANS) The number of registered unemployed people in Spain fell by 83,599 in April and stood at 4,011,171, the lowest since August 2010, when the country was in economic crisis.

According to data released on Wednesday by the ministry of employment and social security, unemployment fell this month by 2.04 percent, EFE news reported.

In the last 12 months, the number of unemployed people fell by 321,845, bringing the annual rate of reduction of unemployment in the country to around 7.5 percent.

The service sector marks the biggest fall of unemployment, decreasing by 50,807 people.
