Sisodia sacks vice principal of Delhi school

New Delhi, May 4 (IANS) Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday sacked the vice principal of a government-run school here on charges of marking present three teachers who were not on duty.

Sisodia tweeted that he found the three teachers absent from the Mandawali Government School but they "were shown present in data base at 8.15 a.m."

He said he had ordered the termination of the vice principal of the school for indiscipline and given a show cause notice to the principal.

Sisodia, also the education minister, is known to keep a strict watch on the working of government schools. He has also forced private schools to roll back the fee hike illegally introduced for the 2016-17 session.
