Four students who made hoax bomb call held, let off

Ghaziabad, May 4 (IANS) Four students of the Chhabeel Das Public School here who made a hoax bomb call to the school were detained and let off after a warning, police said on Wednesday.

All the students were from Class XI.

"During investigation it came to light that one of them made the call from a Chinese smart wrist watch by inserting a SIM," police officer Manish Mishra said.

"They admitted that when they made the call, they were attending their class. They also came out when the school was evacuated after the call and went home," the officer said.

"Being juvenile they were let off after a warning and assurance of their good conduct from their parents," he added.

The police were alerted and the school was evacuated. After two hours of search, it became clear it was a hoax call.
