Mumbai, May 2 (IANS) Key Indian equity indices on Monday morning opened lower following weak global cues.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading 137.86 points or 0.54 percent lower during the morning session.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 41.60 points or 0.53 percent down at 7,808.20 points.
The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 25,565.44 points, was trading at 25,468.76 points (at 9.17 a.m.) in the early session, lower 137.86 points or 0.54 percent from the previous day's close at 25,606.62 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 25,565.44 points and a low of 25,442.24 points in the trade so far.
