Kolkata, April 30 (IANS) Kyrgyz Ambassador to India Samargiul Adamkulova visited a poll booth in the eastern metropolis during the fifth phase of West Bengal assembly polls to learn about the electoral process using electronic voting machines (EVM), an official said.
"The Kyrgyz envoy to India visited the poll booth in La Martiniere For Girls school today (on Saturday). She wanted to see how the process was being conducted," Kolkata South district election officer Smita Pandey told IANS.
The envoy expressed satisfaction.
"It is very efficient. We have contacts between election commissions in India and Kyrgyzstan and this is one sign of co-operation," Adamkulova said.
