Guwahati, April 30 (IANS) Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi was admitted to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital on Saturday evening after he complained of stomach pain.
The 82-year-old leader had gone for an aerial survey of flood-affected areas of the state on Saturday morning and sources in the chief minister's office said that he complained of stomach pain on his return. Following this, he was admitted to the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
"Doctors have been attending to him and his condition is alright," said a doctor at the GMCH said adding that Gogoi is likely to be kept under observation in the hospital for the night.
