Mumbai, April 29 (IANS) Key Indian stock market indices were trading lower in the afternoon session on Friday following global cues.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was trading 56.05 points or 0.71 percent lower at 7,791.20 points.
The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 25,612.91 points, was trading at 25,459.16 points (at 1.29 p.m.) in the afternoon session, down 143.94 points or 0.56 percent from the previous day's close at 25,603.10 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 25,755.43 points and a low of 25,430.04 points in the trade so far.
Almost all the sectors were trading in red. Heavy selling pressure was seen in the consumer durables, realty, banking and industrials sectors.
The S&P BSE consumer durables index dropped by 0.88 percent, realty index slipped by 0.84 percent, banking index went down by 0.82 percent and industrials index fell by 0.82 percent.
