Guwahati, April 28 (IANS) Following the success of stem cell therapy in curing several types of spinal problems and paralysis, the therapy was launched in India's northeastern region.
The city based Nemcare Hospital, which will be the first hospital in northeast to use the therapy, launched on Wednesday, will also have separate OPD sessions for it.
A session named Newer Frontiers in Medicine was organised in the hospital to talk about the benefits of the stem cell therapy, which is also known as HESC therapy.
Prominent stem cell therapist Geeta Shroff gave presentation on the various benefits of the therapy.
"The treatment is truly revolutionary and has emerged out to be one of the most successful therapies in several types of health complications," said Shroff.
Stem cell therapy has emerged effective in spinal injuries, multiple sclerosis, lyme disease, cerebral palsy and even autism.
The launch of the stem cell therapy in the northeast region has also aimed to help several type of paralysis patients in the northeast.
