London, April 27 (IANS) Actor Tom Holland, who is making his Marvel debut as Spider-Man in "Captain America: Civil War", says that initially he was nervous to work alongside Robert Downey Jr. as he thought the "Iron Man" actor was "terrifying".
The 19-year-old also said that Downey Jr. welcomed him with open arms, reports bangshowbiz.com.
"He is so cool. Robert Downey Jr. is awesome. I first met him at my first screen test and obviously I thought Robert was terrifying but once I met him, he was down to earth, really cool and easy going. We got on really well and we work very well together. I'm just so happy these guys gave me the opportunity," Holland said at the premiere of "Captain America: Civil War" on Tuesday evening here.
Holland also shared that it is a "dream" to walk the red carpet in his hometown of London.
"The crazy thing is this is where I buy my clothes, and now here we are at the red carpet of 'Civil War', I could never have dreamed of being here. I am so happy this has happened," he said.
"I mean obviously yes, it was quite nerve-wracking at first, but these guys are so welcoming and so cool that I immediately felt like I was at home and I was part of something really amazing," he added.
