Mumbai, April 27 (IANS) Veteran business journalist T.N. Ninan was conferred the RedInk Lifetime Achievement Award of the Mumbai Presss Club by Maharashtra Governor C.V. Rao here.
The award recognizes Ninan's extensive contribution to business journalism through editorial leadership which he provided to a host of publications over the years.
The RedInk Veer Patrakar Award was conferred posthumously on Jagendra Singh of Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh who was set on fire and killed by a local politician in June 2015.
Lauding Singh's sacrifice in the quest for truth, Rao handed over the award to his teenage daughter Diksha Singh at a function late on Tuesday.
