New Delhi, April 26 (IANS) A two-day conference starts here on Thursday in which participants will discuss how National Food Security Act 2013 is being implemented in various states, said the organiser.
"The conference will discuss functioning of the targeted public distribution system (TDPS) and the Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and need for reforms, if any, based on good practices observed in some states," said the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), which is organising the event, in a statement.
In addition to the members and senior officers of the NHRC, officers from the union ministries, states and union territories are likely to take part in the discussions, the statement said.
The conference is to be inaugurated by NHRC Chairman H.L. Dattu.
